First and foremost, at Dishcraft, we value people, intellectual curiosity and transparent communication. We are looking for a highly motivated senior-level AI Software Engineer who is an expert in building a highly scalable machine learning infrastructure. In addition, you should have a proven track record in designing and developing large-scale, complex software architecture. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated to own, design and build a robust and highly efficient AI infrastructure for Dishcraft’s robots for production and research and development platforms. 

About the Role 

  • Develop the systems and tools that empower Dishcraft’s most advanced robotic solutions, from data collection and developing infrastructure for helping algorithm development to deployment on Dishcraft’s robots 
  • Own design and code reviews and drive best practices of software development 
  • Partner with software engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers to deploy AI solutions 
  • Work closely with AI scientists in developing and deploying novel AI methods 
  • Develop strategy for technology platforms and systems architecture 
  • Incorporate latest technologies and current best practices into daily work 

 About You 

  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field 
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience 
  • Excellent Python and C++ coding skills 
  • Experience building machine learning data pipelines, preferably on AWS using ETL 
  • Hands-on experience with open-source ML frameworks and hosted ML product offerings preferably on AWS and GCP (e.g., AWS SageMaker and Google ML Engine)
  • Understanding of end-to-end machine learning development cycles 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Working knowledge of various machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorflowPyTorchscikit-learn) 
  • Experience with Docker containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a big plus 
  • Working knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS) or a passion for learning software for robotics is a plus
