Spire’s Space Program operates a large and rapidly expanding constellation of 40+ satellites and 20+ ground stations. The company owns the entire stack from custom hardware to customer APIs.

Responsibilities of your role:

Architectural leadership and mentorship in regards to operability and security: securing our infrastructure, teaching the rest of the team best practices, providing input on code reviews, suggesting tools to automate security
Develop and support our existing build, test and continuous integration infrastructure for AWS ground systems, satellites, and embedded boards
Develop and support shared monitoring and telemetry infrastructure
Develop and support network infrastructure provisioning (terraform, Ansible, etc)

AWS/VPS Services
Infrastructure as code
Articulate your ideas well in both spoken and written form
Intimately know how computer systems interact
Leverage the best tools for the task
Balance the needs of today versus the needs of next year
Prioritize incoming requests/tickets for overall mission success
Understand the value of reducing complexity
Have expertise using various debugging tools
