We are seeking Sales Development Representatives to work directly with our CEO and VP of Business Development to supercharge the top of Compology’s sales funnel. In this role you’ll be selling directly to all levels within waste and recycling companies with a primary focus of educating them on the value Compology brings to their daily operations.
Our clients are some of the hardest working men and women in America and they expect the same from their service providers. In this sales development position you’ll be prospecting, making outbound calls, setting appointments, and following up to maintain momentum. This is an incredible opportunity for an energetic, positive force of nature to tackle lead generation for Compology.
Responsibilities & Key Role Objectives
Quickly understand Compology’s value add and our ideal customer profile
Identify high-quality sales opportunities in North America by using business directories, following leads from existing clients and distribution partners, and attending trade shows and conferences
Track down the decision makers within companies and figure out how to best contact them
Set up initial sales calls through a mixture of outbound calling and emailing, following up on marketing campaigns, and responding to inbound inquiries
Quickly and confidently qualify inbound leads with top notch customer service
Accurately enter, update, and maintain all prospect information and communication in our CRM
Consistently achieve & exceed monthly quota for new qualified companies – we promote from within for more senior sales roles!
Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities
1-2 years of experience in lead generation, business development, or sales
Demonstrated success as a hunter (not an order taker!) who can find ways of getting in front of the right people within an organization
Comfortable operating within guide rails, not rigid sales scripts
You’re persistent and have thick skin – you’re not afraid to hear ten ‘No’s’ before you get one ‘Yes!’
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Comfortable on the phone, an active listener, and creative problem solver
Customer-first mentality and are interested in working with and relating to our demographic of customers
Have a track record of continuously improving month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter
A collaborator who actively contributes to and celebrates the success of colleagues
A problem solver with the ability to identify inefficiencies and work with the team to improve procedures
