Are you passionate about new technologies or even have knowledge of GPS? Are you an electronics or satellite enthusiast who enjoys thinking up ways to improve hardware and the outcomes it enables? We're looking for an excellent embedded software engineer to work on the core of our GPS receiver technology. You will be working with a small team to push the state of the art in satellite navigation technology, making high accuracy positioning accessible worldwide and easy to use across a wide variety of industries and applications such as unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics and autonomous transport. Your emphasis will be the management of the embedded software development (embedded Linux, systems programming) of our next generation receivers from prototyping through testing, verification and release. You should have skills and experience with:

  • Systems programming
  • Embedded Linux
  • Embedded C / Microcontrollers
  • Version control tools / git
  • Basic electronics and board level communication (SPI, I2C, etc)
  • Running a small (~5) team of software engineers
  • 3+ years of industry experience is required

Preference given to skills, experience and interest in:

  • Controls / Estimation
  • RF Electronics / Software Defined Radio
  • RTOS experience (FreeRTOS, ChibiOS, etc)
  • Scripting (Python, Bash, etc)
  • FPGA experience, VHDL or Verilog
  • Digital Signal Processing
  • Rust, Haskell, OCaml (or other functional language)
  • NixOS, Docker, or Ansible
  • Yocto, buildroot, and/or the OpenWRT build environment
