At Ceres Imaging, we're changing the way farmers manage their crops.
We acquire, process, and analyze multispectral aerial imagery of farms, in order to monitor crop variables like plant nutrient and water content. Farmers use our insights to improve crop management practices like fertilizer application, irrigation schedules, and stress/disease detection.
We are well funded and have a large (and growing) customer base throughout California, Hawaii, the Midwest and Australia. Our team of 45 is growing rapidly with market demand.
Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking GIS / Remote Sensing Analysts to join our image processing team.
As a GIS / Remote Sensing Analyst, you'll work with a team of scientists and engineers to process and analyze customer imagery.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include assessing the quality of automatically processed imagery, re-processing imagery (for example creating and editing shapefiles, or improving the georegistration); and analyzing multispectral imagery data to identify areas in a field that may require management changes.
Over time, you'll be involved in improving the quality of our automated image processing pipeline; and contributing to research to develop new products and analyses from the imagery we acquire.
Skills and Experience required:
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, ENVI)
- Experience processing/producing both raster and vector data
- Experience working with geospatial databases (e.g., PostGIS)
- Experience with preparing/editing scripts (e.g., python or R) desirable
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
On offer is the chance to join a literally world-changing startup, working with an outstanding team of scientists, engineers and go-to-market professionals. We are entering another period of high growth, so if you're excited about the opportunity and are suitably qualified, please don't hesitate to apply now.
